Elevation

I wander in the high plains
An ambiguity
Everything is the same, by the summer haze
Waves of tall grass blown
Wind wants to be seen
Back and forth it's thrown, resistance not shown
Bright sun shares its light
To see what we are
Burning in the sky, everyone run and hide
I inherit some other's weight
Don't go very far
Lie in the high plains, here there is no shade

Rest on the soft earth, soak up the warm rays
Let the wind blow gently across my face
May I fall asleep under the sunlight
Awake with clear mind under the moonlight
Under a starlit universe of mine
Thoughts turn to scope of unlimited size
Escape from meaningless trivial things
I am in wonder of my surroundings
